Helen has been involved with our ultrasound courses for over 20 years, now as Director, she is responsible for Wessex Diagnostic service development and programme management.
With 20 years experience of training and event management at a variety of levels from conferences, corporate training to community training and events, Helen is also a qualified tutor and internal verifier. Using the training programme experience from the community and voluntary sector, one key aim is to keep course fees to a minimum through careful resource management.
She is also responsible for marketing and building new partnerships with ultrasound societies and service providers and is currently focusing on developing bespoke courses. One recent collaboration with the product design team at Limbs and Things, provided a comprehensive practical introduction to ultrasound physics and scanning techniques in a new Introduction to Ultrasound course.
Helen’s passion is for education at all levels, with an enthusiasm for both engaging people with learning and environmental conservation. Previous roles have included charities such as the Centre for Sustainable Energy, Soil Association and the Bristol One tree per child project. Helen is also a Trustee for a family support charity.
